We believe as Landlords it's a two-way thing: we expect tenants to pay their rent on time and respect our property and we in return expect to try and serve the needs of our tenants and maintain the property to create the kind of environment that will keep them happy. What do our tenants think of us? We emailed some of our previous tenants and this is what they said.


I have rented this wonderful cottage for nearly 4 happy  years.
Both the cottage and Gretton are wonderful places to live, with amazing countryside and most facilities really close to hand.
The cottage had  been just perfect  for me - I can't fault it - easy to maintain, both inside and out, with great storage and character:
cool in the summer and cosy in the winter.
Dave and Sue as landlords have been faultless- always on hand and willing to assist with any issues or concerns in a timely fashion.



I really enjoyed living in Cardigan Terrace. Dave and Sue kept the house in really good condition and were very easy to get in contact with. They were also prompt at returning some rent I had accidentally overpaid at the end of my tenancy. The house is in a great location, near to shops, cafes and a large park, and is within walking distance of the city centre. I was very happy living there and only moved out due to getting a new job in London.



'I loved living in Granby Terrace. My room in the basement was a great space to hang out in. I take with me particularly fond memories of sitting on the doorstep in the sunshine chatting with friends.'


bristol 'Sue and Dave were really good landlords and always very helpful and prompt at replying to emails, fixing & replacing things. They also visited the house a couple of times a year to maintain the house & the garden and made sure everything was at its best and in working order. bristol I spend over two years living at Foxcote Road and throughout that time Dave and Sue were fantastic landlords - always responding to emails and quick to solve any problems with the property, whilst giving freedom to feel at home. The location was excellent, close to shops and amenities. I would most certainly recommend the property to other tenants. AW

I just wanted to thank you for all the help you gave me through the time that I was living in lovely 13 York House. 

The flat is in good quality and is very warm. The fact that this flat is opposite a beer garden does not mean it is loud. While I was living there I never had any issues with the noise bearing in mind that this flat is in Town Centre location. It is a quite and safe place to live.

I will definitely recommend you as a landlord to anyone who is looking to rent a home.

I just wanted to say that I would highly recommend you as Landlords. The property was in top condition on move in date and the services you provided were second to none.

The flat is ideally located for the town, but still in a quiet location and with the added bonus of the garage. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful too.

I was a tenant of Dave and Sue's for 2 1/2 years at Granby Terrace. They were exceptional landlords (and lovely people!) who were always available if we had any problems or queries. They routinely visited the house to complete a full spring clean and to fix any faults. When I first moved in the tiles in the shower of my ensuite needed re-grouting but they decided to replace all the tiles instead, just to make it look better; as the work needed to be carried out after I had moved in they reduced my first month's rent for the inconvenience! I do not have a bad word to say about them.

As for the house, it is in a perfect location for a young professional. It is set in a quiet cul-de-sac despite it being only minutes from Headingley's main shops and bars. It is also a convenient walk to Leeds Uni. I rented the basement room and loved the privacy as well as the lovely little terrace outside. KA

kettering I first met Sue and Dave in 2010 they went out of their way to be helpful and were very quick to reply to any correspondence. I was wary of using a private landlord at first but need not have worried in fact Dave and Sue were far better, I did not have to worry about repairs these were few but dealt with quickly. I did have an issue with a noisy neighbour which moved out but after contacting Dave and Sue they were immediately on to it and was able to continue living in peace. The flat was very close to the town and was surprised as to how quiet the location was. The property itself was fantastic it was very modern and very easy to keep clean. I only moved out due to family circumstances but I would not hesitate to let from them again they are efficient honest and reliable. You would find it hard to find better private landlords thank you Dave and Sue. FM

I lived in a Foxcote street house for a year and I would probably still live there if I had not left Bristol. It was the best rented place I have ever lived in. Lovely house, great location and fantastic landlords. Sue & Dave are amazing, always eager to help, and solve all the fixes if needed. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. PG

All I would say is that it had been a wonderful place to live, we spent about 8 months in that property and everything was just excellent, the beautiful garden downstairs, ample parking space, very friendly neighbourhood and above all very supporting and easily reachable land owners. AB


bristol I absolutely loved staying at Foxcote Road – it was such a warm and welcoming house, and really well maintained. I made some fantastic friends with some really like minded people, and Sue and Dave were always on hand if we needed anything while also giving us our own space to really feel at home. If it weren't for meeting my other half, I'd still be there! CW
newcastle As a former tenant of Dave & Sue, I'd thoroughly recommend letting through them as private landlords. As landlords they were down to earth and approachable, reacting very quickly to the very rare problems that cropped up with the house. If I was looking to rent in the Newcastle area again, they'd be my first port of call. The house itself was a brilliant place to live, with easy access to the city centre and local shops. DT
I was a tenant of DSJ Properties for five and a half years and would like to thank Dave and Sue for being literally, 'the perfect landlords'. If ever there was a repair that needed sorting or just a curtain pole putting up, Dave and Sue sorted it out asap, on the same day if possible and nothing ever seemed like it was too much trouble. I could always contact them easily and if I had to leave a message, I usually had a call back within an hour or so. The house in Backley Close was very well maintained and it is a very quiet, nice area to live. I would highly recommend DSJ Properties to anyone who is looking to rent a nice property. JF

I spent several really enjoyable years at Foxcote road. The house is very pleasant, being well maintained and decorated, as well as located in a great part of Bristol.

Dave & Sue are definitely the best landlords I’ve encountered. They were always easy to contact and quickly resolved any issue with the property whilst still giving their tenants the freedom to enjoy the house. I can’t recommend highly enough. SL
